It’s been a while since the last newsletter. A bit more has happened this time.
I was in Japan for three weeks in April. Good training, as always. I came home, unpacked the books, and went straight into Tanrenkai 4 in May — the Back from Japan seminar. Then I sat down and translated and read all the Japanese books I bought on that trip.
I wrote seven articles on the blog since last time.
In August we opened a new dōjō in Vasastan. Central Stockholm, finally. If you are in town, come train.
I also made several EPs with Suno. It’s going to be a full album soon. Don’t ask. Or do.
Tanrenkai 5 was held in September. Theme was Hanbōjutsu — stick. I then went on Japan trip #55 in early October (two weeks this time). I’m heading home tomorrow. I will do another Back from Japan seminar later in October.

On a different note: the progress of SI (AI for those not in the loop) has been very fast this summer. I now have a team of agents doing a lot of work for me, and they’re doing good work. I’m letting them take on more and more. This might actually be the last newsletter I write manually myself. I’ve used SI to clean up my bad English and grammar for a while, but now I can just ask Goroku Botto (my team CEO) to draft something, tell it what to change, and when I’m happy, have it publish. I’ve also been experimenting with https://bujinkan.ai for a couple of months — it already handles things that used to take me hours every week, and it’s getting very good.

I’ve dedicated much of my work to BUJINKAN.ONLINE, a membership site designed to preserve and share the depth of our art. For just $25 per year, members receive a Bujinkan Membership Card issued by me, along with full access to the "Densho" members section.
BUJINKAN.ONLINE/DENSHO
Inside, you’ll find detailed descriptions of all Taijutsu techniques in the Bujinkan Dojo, along with most of the weapons. The Densho is available in its original Japanese, with Romaji and English translations. I’m continuously expanding this resource by adding my own insights and interpretations, complete with pictures.
Beyond techniques, the site also hosts a vast archive of historical articles, including writings by Hatsumi Sensei and rare materials about him—some dating back to 1961, covering both Takamatsu Sensei and Hatsumi Sensei.
Currently, there are 835 articles available. You can browse the front page and see the categories, but full access requires membership.
I’m committed to growing this resource and always looking for contributors. If you have articles that aren’t yet in the archive, I’d love your help. In return, I offer free access to the site for those who contribute missing materials. Daishihan are especially welcome—if you support this project by sharing your collection or encouraging your students to join, I’ll provide you with complimentary access.

TORYU.BANDCAMP.COM - RITUAL CHANTING
I’m making music with Suno. Chanting, mostly. An album is taking shape.
The idea is that it might sit alongside Marishiten-hō practice — protection, focus, the long quiet work. Or it might just be me having fun exploring sound. Both are fine.
Everything is free to listen to on toryu.bandcamp.se. If a song lands for you, like it and share it. That helps more than you think.

YUDANSHA BOOK
I have only written one public book, and it is the YUDANSHA book. I got very good feedback from many prominent Bujinkan teachers including Hatsumi Soke. The book covers all the Taijutsu techniques I think every 5'th Dan should know by heart.
The book is only available from Lulu!
Below is two pages from the book as an example. It is available in a few different formats and bindings.
